Pray with us. Act with us. Imagine the impact we could have in Helena if each one of us is individually involved in making Helena a better place. Imagine the lives that could be touched. Imagine how the spiritual landscape of our community could be changed even BEFORE the grand opening.
Tearing Down Spiritual Strongholds
Today we are looking at Ephesians 6-12...
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. We are reminded in this scripture that our battles in life are not against other people. Instead they are spiritual battles. Whether we are facing difficulty in our job, struggling in school, or battling an addiction, the battle is first won in the spiritual realm before the physical. It is for this reason the Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 10:4, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds."
So whether we face difficulties as an individual or as a church, there are spiritual strongholds that stand in our way.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Today, let us pray for God to demolish those strongholds so that people can encounter Him in a real and tangible way. Pray that God will help people overcome addiction, that He will restore broken marriages and families, that He will bring light where there has been darkness. Even as Encounter Church gets closer and closer to our Grand Opening, the "evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world" are working overtime to build more obstacles. Let us pray for these strongholds to be broken.
TODAY'S IMPACT
Take and active part in demolishing strongholds today. Do not use the weapons of this world, but instead be in prayer — which possesses "divine power to demolish strongholds." Take a prayer walk today in your neighborhood, praying against the strongholds in a neighbor's life or someone nearby. Pray that God would reveal Himself in their struggles by tearing down the walls that are holding them back from truly knowing Jesus.
